Created as a 1:1 replica of the original Schaffer-Vega Diversity System audio circuitry, the SoloDallas Storm® is the latest evolution of our product line. Derived directly from our latest Schaffer Replica EX Tower, this particular design of our product line delivers the same strong character as its predecessor, the Schaffer Replica Pedal, in a different - more market standard - package, updating and even enhancing previously seen and heard features.
The circuit is 100% analog and sports an analog limiter derived from a previously unseen and very musical Opto-Isolator (a vintage optical limiter) recently discovered in our latest reverse-engineering of the original Schaffer-Vega Diversity System TX10 Transmitter, giving your tone extra sustain, touch sensitivity, roundness and a rich harmonic content, as well as a very powerful pre-amp, capable of delivering up to 30db of clean boost.
The Storm is built using SMD components in order to get a more compact product while still retaining the same tone as the EX Tower. It is housed in a durable metal enclosure and also features the same knobs used on the original SVDS. It is powered by 9v battery or standard 9V center-negative power supply.
The Schaffer tone will now fit into your pedalboard along with all your other favorite effects without any compromise.
